Find answers to common questions about our concrete services.
How long does a concrete driveway take to install?
Most residential driveway installations take 1-3 days depending on
the size and complexity. This includes preparation, pouring, and
finishing. The concrete then needs 24-48 hours before it's safe to
walk on. Concrete reaches full strength after 28 days. We recommend
waiting 28 days before driving on new concrete.
What is the best time of year to pour concrete?
In Minnesota, late spring through early fall is ideal for concrete
work. We typically schedule projects from April through October.
Extreme heat or cold can affect the curing process, so we monitor
weather conditions closely.
How do I prepare for my concrete project?
We'll handle most of the preparation, including excavation and
grading. You may need to clear the area of vehicles, furniture, or
landscaping. We'll provide specific instructions before your project
begins.
How long will my concrete last?
With proper installation and maintenance, concrete driveways and
patios can last 25-30 years or more. Proper curing, sealing, and
avoiding harsh de-icing chemicals can extend its lifespan
significantly.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes! We offer free estimates for all projects. We'll visit your
property, discuss your needs, and provide a detailed quote with no
obligation.
What areas do you serve?
We serve customers anywhere within approximately 1.5 hours of the
North Metro area. We regularly travel outside immediate surrounding
areas for the right projects. Contact us to confirm we serve your
area.
How do I maintain my concrete?
Regular cleaning and sealing every 2-3 years will help protect your
concrete. Avoid using harsh de-icing chemicals in winter - use sand
instead. Address any cracks promptly to prevent further damage.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we are fully licensed and insured. We're happy to provide proof
of insurance upon request.
